I have a 2008 titanium X. (10/2008 build). A few months ago I upgraded from a Sony DAB unit to a TravelPilot FX from a 2009 Mondeo. Works perfect, no issues.
My next upgrade has been to get USB/BT Streaming. I've replaced my 8M5T-19G488-AK with a 8M5T-19C112-AR. I have plugged in a standard mini-USB to USB female cable
Once I powered my radio back on I was able to pair my phone again and within Convers+ I can see: iPod, USB and Line in. I can use my voice control as before, those obviously things have been reset. I can also plug in a USB stick and play music from that, also able to view through Convers and head unit
There are a few things I need to clarify as I have read multiple posts but some seem to conflict against one another.
iPod
if I plug in my standard iPod cable although I can see the information on my head unit and within Convers+. I have no audio but this is because I also need to have connection to Aux so will probably by a specific cable for that from eBay.
BT Streaming
I do not see any option to stream from Bluetooth. I have seen this isn't possible in an NX nav unit but think from what I have read it is possible with an FX by enabling in ELMConfig. I have gone into ELMConfig and have changed the Bluetooth setting to BT/VC high + BT Audio + USB (For navigation only) but still have no streaming.
If people could confirm and offer feedback I would appreciate it
